Glass

We cut, edge, temper, laminate and insulate glass in our own plant. That lets us control lead time and quality on our own facade work, and supply third parties.

02Capabilities

What we do with glass

From raw sheet to installed pane. The whole process happens under one roof in Santa Catarina, apart from supplying the base sheet.

  • 01

    Tempered glass

We process glass in our own furnace to produce tempered safety glass, with the mechanical strength and fracture pattern the standard requires.

    • Tamglass furnace on site
    • SGCC certified
    • Thicknesses from 6 to 19 mm
    • Machining and drilling before tempering
    Tempered glass
  • 02

    Laminated glass

Two or more sheets bonded by a PVB interlayer. When it breaks the fragments stay bonded and the pane remains a barrier, which is precisely what tempered glass alone does not do.

    • PVB interlayer
    • Retention after breakage
    • Filters practically all UV
    • Mandatory for skylights and balustrades at height
  • 03

    Insulated glass units (IGU)

Double or triple glazed units with an air or gas cavity, a desiccant spacer and a dual perimeter seal. The cavity is the insulator — the glass itself contributes little.

    • Insulating line on site
    • Dual perimeter seal
    • Desiccant-filled spacer
    • Works with solar-control and low-E coatings
    Insulated glass units (IGU)
  • 04

    Shower enclosures

Frameless enclosures, fixed screens and sliding panels in tempered glass, with stainless steel hardware and dimensions taken on site.

    • 10 mm tempered glass
    • Stainless steel hardware
    • Fixed, hinged or sliding
    • Survey and dimensions taken on site
    Shower enclosures
  • 05

    Storefront and glazed facade

Fixed panels, partitions and ground-floor facades in tempered or insulated glass, with minimal framing or point-fixed hardware.

    • Floor-to-ceiling panels
    • Office partitions
    • Ground-floor retail facades
    • Structural silicone glazing
  • 06

    Frameless glass doors

Frameless doors on floor pivots, for entrances, lobbies and offices. The glass is machined and drilled before tempering, so the schedule has to be final before fabrication.

    • High-capacity floor pivot
    • 10 to 12 mm tempered
    • Stainless steel hardware and lock
    • Optional concealed closer
  • 07

    Mirrors and decorative glass

Made-to-measure mirrors, back-painted glass and bespoke cuts for interiors, cut and edged in the same plant.

    • Made-to-measure mirror with polished edge
    • Back-painted glass in colour
    • Bespoke cuts and drilling
    • Frame-mounted or bonded installation
03Process

From cut to finished pane

Glass goes through cutting, edging, machining and tempering, then on to laminating or insulating depending on what the project asks for. Holding the full process avoids transfers between workshops, which is where the schedule slips and where the material breaks.

04Plant equipment

We process on our own equipment

  • Tempering furnace

    Tempering furnace

Converts annealed glass into tempered safety glass with a uniform finish.

  • Automatic cutting table

    Automatic cutting table

Precision cutting across glass thicknesses and shapes.

  • Edging machine

    Edging machine

Leaves a polished, square edge before tempering.

  • Insulating glass line

    Insulating glass line

Assembly of double-glazed units with controlled perimeter sealing.
